Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation (AECC) will purchase 100MWs from Wildhorse Mountain Wind Facility

May 29^th, 2018 – Southern Power announced the acquisition of the 100MW Wildhorse Mountain Wind Facility from Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc. (RES). NRCO’s member, Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation (AECC), will receive all electric energy, capacity and other attributes from the project under a 20-year power purchase agreement starting in the fourth quarter of 2019.

NRCO originated the project as part of its 2016 RFI solicitation and advised on the PPA negotiations.
